Behind the brand there is innovative, young and solid Yonca team with more than 40 years of experience on both production and trade. Determining the needs and expectations of the customers, the team provides the continuity on product and service quality. They are in closecooperation with all their suppliers in order to follow-up the “Best Quality Standards” during all the steps to be taken.

The company, creating its own standards in terms of quality since it was established, puts itsproducts into stages of quality control from the entry of raw materials to the delivery of products to consumers. Accordingly, Yonca Food continues its production without depriving itself from quality with its certifications such as BVQI ISO 9001 quality management system certification for oil industries and cannery, BVQI FSSC 22000 and BRC (Grade A) and IFS (Higher Level) certificates for canneries.
This made Yonca Food brand fully stands behind Rio Santo’s “Certified Quality” of its products.

History and Tradition

Yonca Food Industry Inc. Vegetable Oil Industries were established in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in 1981. The vegetable oil production facility doubled its capacity in 1985 and increased it up to 100 tons per day. The company also started processing canola, soy and cotton seeds besides the sunflower oil upon the initiation of a new crushing facility with a daily seedprocessing capacity of 400 tons in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in 1997. In 2009, the brand of Yonca became a food company with an oil seed processing capacity of 700 tons and a refining capacity of 450 tons per day.

The production of tomato paste was initiated in Manisa Organized Industrial Region in 1989. Canned Foods and Sauces Industries Facilities were moved to the new facilities in Karaağaçlı, Manisa in order to meet the increasing demand of tomato products and in 1997 the product range was expanded with the pickle production as well.

Yonca Food, continuing its production activities with the Oil Industries in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone and the Canned Foods and Sauces Industries Facilities in Manisa-Karağaçlı, has obtained the biggest pickle production capacity in Turkey upon the incorporation of PickleProducts Industries Facilities in Manisa-Saruhanlı in 2010.

Using only special hand selected finest raw materials; it’s procuring total demands for fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers who make seasonal agreements with the company in Aegean and Mediterranean Region. Through its special agreements, the company is co-operating with growers not only to keep the production processes under maximum control within the plants, as well as the processes in the fields.

All selected fruits and vegetables products are filled into glass jars or cans in the automated lines, then pasteurized under pre-determined high quality Standard, all in a totally hygienicenvironment. Thus made Yonca Food Industries Inc, fully stand behind the “certified quality” of its products with strong gastronomic tradition of its land and roots.

Today, Yonca Food continues appealing to the taste buds and cuisines of both Turkish and Global consumers under its own brand and Private label, with its wide product range consisting ofsunflower, corn, canola, soy and olive oil, canned products, ketchup, mayonnaise, tomato paste, various tomato products, sauces of different tastes and pickle types in the sector which it entered with oil production.

Our Factories

All Rio Santo branded products have been produced in three factories where Yonca Food is continuing its production activities. The company is continuing its services in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone where the Factory of Yonca Food Ind. Inc. Edible Oilseed Crushing and Central Office of the Company in. In addition Company's Pickle Businesses is continuing its activities in two facilities in Saruhanli and Karaagacli Counties.

Vegetable Oil Facilities

All Rio Santo branded vegetable and olive oil products have been produced in Yonca Food Industries which is located in Manisa / Turkey.

Company's Vegetable Oil Facilities becoming a company to refine all vegetable liquid oil products by means of its new physical refining facility physically is removing foreign substances constituting during production steps in vegetable liquid oil thanks to refining processing and thus bringing them suitable products for consuming. Since this processing is made in high temperatures under vacuum, refined cooking oil is gaining a lot of resistance and thus becoming more resistance against heat during using by consumers. Since all processing is made by being untouched by human hands and under control of a computer, lastly it is made filling and packing and presenting to the consumers as oils marked Rio Santo.

In the labs of Rio Santo R&D adopting “Health first of all” it is searched the most suitable oil values for human health. In line with the demands of the consumers it produces those oil products having health and taste together as a result of those researches. Rio Santo establishing its own standards without giving any concession from its quality since its founding is using different quality control stages in its products punctiliously from entering raw material to last stage when the products meet with consumers.

Canned Food Facilities

Rio Santo branded tomatoes products and fruit-vegetable Products has been continuing its activities for in 2 primary productions facility on a 75.444 m² area of which 20.500 m² is covered area. Tomatoes products, pickle products, vegetable and fruit products whose quality and standards were specified before are pasteurized in glass and tin packing in all hygienic environments. It is produced vegetable products, varieties of pickles and gourmet group products as grilled products in vegetable facility.

Rio Santo reached to the greatest pickle production capacity by joining our factory to organization of Yonca Food Ind. Inc. to 2010. Our factory is located on 68.000 m2 open area and 32.000 m2 covered area.

Kosher certificate is a certificate registering that the products are produced under belief of Hebrew. While producing in the establishments, all steps, materials used and even equipments used are controlled by religious men (rabbi) in accordance with the belief of Hebrew in place. If this application shows that any situation is not against the belief of Hebrew, religious men give kosher certificate to products produced by the firm. Kosher means “suitable” in Hebrew.All certificates that we have were given as a result of analysis and studies realized by accredited organizations and labs. This is the most important indicator and assurance of our product quality.
